What are the
Costs?

CostsHEI charges for web site development based on agreed-to hourly rates, starting at just $US40.00 per hour.

Factors affecting the hourly rate include the required skill set for that portion of the project, the allocated time for the tasks, the scope of the work and many other factors that generally vary from client to client. Hourly rate discounts are available for larger or long-term projects. Expenses are charged in addition to our professional services. In general, time permitting, we will prepare a proposal for new clients, setting out expected costs based upon our understanding of the work involved. And for our clients, we have flexibility to adapt to changing client needs without undue extra costs wherever possible.

HEI's least expensive services are generally part of on-going assignments including general web site maintenance, review of site logs, preparing traffic reports, error identification and remediation, e-mail account supervision and administration and other duties of the webmaster.

Our hourly rate is somewhat greater for work relating to the actual design and preparation of the web pages, as well as training of client staff for site operation and maintenance. Costs for business planning, marketing, creative writing, corporate identity, graphic arts, site ranking research with optimization, and needs assessment incur hourly rates in the higher part of the grid.

In addition, we charge our clients for any approved related capital and expense costs, including, but not limited to, costs of web site hosting, name registration, transmission facilities, custom graphics and photography and lease or purchase of software and/or hardware to meet exceptional, specialized client requirements.

In summary, a basic corporate identity web site might cost in the order of $US2,000.00 with costs increasing with complexity and scope of services.
